Another Oversized Nox

February 19th, 2016

I’ve always loved the oversized pens produced by old factories like Sheaffer, Waterman, and Parker during their heyday.  There’s something peculiarly luxurious about the idea of an “Oversized” pen that I really like and would like to incorporate in my lineup. The difficulty with making a bigger version of  a standard size pen is making it feel weighty and luxurious while retaining balance and nimbleness.  I think this pen really fulfilled that goal.  Even with my somewhat short fingered hands, it was excellent for high volume writing.  This is a pen I would’ve loved to have as a note taker in university.

Here’s a comparison picture with my personal (well patina’ed) regular size Nox.

Base price for a similar pen is $550 USD, $600 as pictured in Woodgrain ebonite
